About UMA’s FPFCoP:
In 2023, Urban Manufacturing Alliance (UMA) relaunched the Flexible Products Fabrication Collaborative (FPFC) (formerly known as the Sewn Trades Collective) with a four part series of online discussions bringing together over 30 fashion designers and textile based manufacturers, advocates, and workforce development leaders from across the country. Each month, time was dedicated to learning about each organization and their challenges and opportunities, with a different question framing each conversation. This year, UMA is scaling up our community by:
- Growing the community and increasing the number of regularly participating members.
- Collaborating on the Circular Solutions for Flexible Product Fabrication Showcase series
The Community is open and free for participation. We ask those who participate to actively contribute to the conversation, respectfully listening and sharing personal experiences and insights while providing feedback and support to other CoP members. In the coming months UMA will be announcing more support for the Community including an online resource directory.
