UMA began in 2011 with a goal of connecting practitioners in 12 cities. Since then, we have grown to encompass 600 members in more than 200 cities — and counting. Whether you’re a city councilmember, an urban planner, the executive director of a kitchen incubator, or a small artisan jewelry maker, UMA’s goal is to design a network based on your feedback, expertise and questions about the future of the industry.
Your individual tax-deductible contribution will empower us to bring our members together to learn from one another (online and in person), to build primary data sets in city that shows the economic value of manufacturing to a city’s economy, and to create relevant public policy recommendations with city-based partners. Your generous contribution ultimately supports our members who are fighting each day to support and grow high-quality manufacturing jobs in cities all across the nation.
